Guild Structure

Bard Crafter - our Creator, the one who gives us the tools needed to form our Guild, build our instruments, and write our music.

Bard Masters - Bards who have been chosen by virtue of their musical and personal talents to assist the Guild in its growth. Masters are considered sources of official information. Mastership is not granted based on longevity in the Guild. Rather, it is granted based on an individual's talents and merits as a responsible member of the community of Bards. Bard Masters are capable of granting full bard status and quester status. They are also entrusted with the ability to punish a Guild member who has abused their Bard status. Punishment is rare and carefully considered before being imposed.

Bard Trustees - this temporary status is selectively given to full Bards in order to assist in the audition process. Trustees are occasionally employed to run Quester auditions.

Bard Panel - a peer group of Bards who listens to the presentations of auditioning Guests and Questers and discusses their performances. It is the Bard Panel who approves or defers membership to the Guild.

Bard - a full member of the Bard Guild who has: 1) successfully auditioned for Questership 2) completed at least one instrument, and 3) successfully auditioned again for full Bardship. Bards are the musicians of Puddleby and may play their instruments where ever they roam.

Bard Quester - an apprentice member of the Bard Guild who has successfully auditioned for Questership (see the Be a Bard section for details). Bard Questers are encouraged to seek out members of the Guild to observe and ask questions.

Bard Guest - a visitor to the Bards' Guild who is auditioning for Bard Questership. Bard Guests lose their Guest status upon leaving the Guild Hall.
